General Department of Taxation has a new director general

Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh, an experienced leader in the customs industry, has just been appointed as General Director of the General Department of Taxation, effective September 6.

Mr. Thanh assumed this position 7 months after being transferred from the General Department of Customs to become Deputy General Director and given the authority of General Director of the General Department of Taxation.

Besides the new General Director, this agency currently has 4 other Deputy General Directors: Mr. Phi Van Tuan, Mr. Dang Ngoc Minh, Mr. Vu Chi Hung and Mr. Mai Son.

New Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh has more than 30 years of experience in the customs sector and has been Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs since May 2018.

Mr. Thanh was born in 1968 in Nam Dinh . He graduated from the University of Finance and Accounting (long-term concentrated program) majoring in industrial finance; Advanced political theory; State management program for senior specialists; English certificate C, Information Technology B.
