(Dan Tri) - Wanted by Quang Ninh Province Police for drug trafficking since 2004, Doan Duc Hai has fled the area. Recently, Hai was arrested by police in Ho Chi Minh City.
On March 15, Quang Ninh Provincial Police said that on March 12, at the flower village park area in Ward 8, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, the Working Group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police, in coordination with local police, arrested Doan Duc Hai (42 years old).
Hai is wanted by Quang Ninh Provincial Police for illegal drug trafficking since 2004.

Previously, according to the police, in April 2004, Doan Duc Hai (residing in Cam Son ward, Cam Pha city, Quang Ninh) sold heroin to many drug addicts in Cam Pha area.
During that time, professional units of Quang Ninh Police continuously arrested drug criminals. Seeing his accomplices being arrested one after another, Doan Duc Hai quickly fled the area.
On August 20, 2004, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Province Police issued a special wanted notice for Doan Duc Hai for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.
Hai's parents and siblings have settled abroad, so the verification and arrest work has encountered many difficulties.
Hai himself and his family also spread the news that Hai had settled abroad to mislead the investigation and verification.
However, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Quang Ninh Provincial Police has applied synchronous professional measures and successfully arrested the subject.
