“I bought a house in 2016, and I still owe 70% of the house payment.”

With the live show Homeland , singer Vu Thang Loi and 3 female guest singers Anh Tho, Bui Le Man and Nguyen Ha will sketch out a musical space with many emotions and cultural colors. Notably, Vu Thang Loi will not only be a singer bringing music to the stage but will also be a soldier with many aspirations in music. Vu Thang Loi personally selected the songs and edited the music for the program. More than 20 works resounding in the auditorium all carry the sound of the homeland, associated with the memories of many generations.

Sharing the reason for inviting Anh Tho, Bui Le Man and Nguyen Ha as guests of the Que Huong live show, Vu Thang Loi said: "Bui Le Man and I have very many memories, because we studied together at the Military University of Culture and Arts. We spent many years together from university to musical activities. Bui Le Man is a singer who won the first prize in the folk music category of the Sao Mai 2009 contest. At that time, mentioning Bui Le Man meant that the level of fame was only second to singer Anh Tho. At that time, I really dreamed of being like Bui Le Man because when I first started my musical career, I had no awards, and my performance fee was still 200 - 500 thousand VND, while Bui Le Man's fee was sky-high. Bui Le Man was my goal at that time.

Bui Le Man is a singer with a very sweet voice, full of emotions, passionate about her career but still spends a lot of time to nurture family happiness. I once said that if Bui Le Man had her own live show, it would be great. However, while Bui Le Man has not organized her own live show, I really want to invite her to stand on stage with me. For me, duets with Bui Le Man will be very emotional because we have so many things in common.

As for singer Nguyen Ha, although we have never sung together, I am not unfamiliar with this singer's voice. I have seen many live shows and know Nguyen Ha. When deciding to do a live show, musician Hong Kien and I agreed to choose Nguyen Ha to create a mysterious factor. Nguyen Ha's strengths are that she is beautiful and sings live very well. I always like to have someone who sings live well. A good live singer has all the elements, technique, emotion, and courage. Nguyen Ha is someone I am very excited to sing a duet with. And the first time we sing a duet, there will definitely be many new emotions.

With Anh Tho, we have sung many duets. We once confided that we wanted to bring new things to our music listeners. And that is why musician Hong Kien and I decided to invite Anh Tho, Bui Le Man and Nguyen Ha as guests for this live show."

Vu Thang Loi: I am lucky to have a wife who is always by my side.

Vu Thang Loi also confided that having musician Hong Kien in charge of music and director Cao Trung Hieu playing the role of General Director gave him more motivation to "play his best".

"Mr. Cao Trung Hieu is very busy but he still agreed to do a live show for me, this is an encouragement and favor for revolutionary music. I think that, deep down, everyone has special feelings for their homeland, country and family. As someone who is attached to revolutionary music, I always believe that artists will make this music genre last forever, representing the culture, the roots, and the Vietnamese revolution," Vu Thang Loi added.

Sharing about his companion in a series of private music events from 2019 to 2023, Vu Thang Loi said that he has no sponsor behind him except his wife. He feels lucky to have his wife always by his side to encourage and cheer him on.

"Honestly, when I got married, I bought my first house in 2016, borrowed 70%, and paid 30%. I still haven't paid off the 70% debt. I think that when I was born, God gave me a voice to make life more beautiful, but the youth of an artist is very short, so I try to do everything I can. Later, I will not regret living a meaningful life. Fortunately, my wife always accompanies all my projects," Vu Thang Loi confided.

Musician Hong Kien - Music Director of the Homeland live show said that choosing December 22 as the date to hold the live show with the theme of the homeland initially made him very worried. Because this theme is very difficult to find something new. Between him and director Cao Trung Hieu, Vu Thang Loi and the members of the crew had to meet many times to come up with the message for this program, which is "soldier quality".

This time, the music and art are soldierly qualities expressed through more than 20 works. Vu Thang Loi is the one who conveys that soldierly quality.

"I thought finding the message would be easier to do, but when I started doing it, it wasn't easy to portray this soldier's character at all," musician Hong Kien confessed.
