Domestic coffee price forecast on July 1, 2025

Although the domestic coffee market has experienced two consecutive slight increases, experts assess that this is only a technical recovery signal after a long decline. It is forecasted that on July 1, domestic coffee prices will likely continue to move sideways, fluctuating between VND94,000 - 94,300/kg, unless there is a strong impact from the world market.

As of June 30, domestic coffee prices maintained a slight increase, increasing by about VND300/kg in localities, with common transaction prices ranging from VND94,200 - VND94,500/kg. Compared to the beginning of last week, domestic coffee prices have increased by VND2,900 - VND3,200/kg, but are still far from the peak in April 2025 when prices reached VND129,300 - VND130,200/kg.

In the medium term, July is expected to be the time when the coffee market enters a period of accumulation and slow recovery. Supporting factors include increased demand from major markets such as China, India and South Korea, along with the possibility of the US Federal Reserve (FED) maintaining stable interest rates. If domestic processing and exporting enterprises sign large FOB orders in the first week of the month, this will be an important driving force to help domestic coffee prices approach the 95,000 VND/kg mark.

International coffee price forecast on July 1, 2025

In the international market, coffee prices are clearly diverging. Robusta coffee prices on the London floor increased slightly, with stable trading volume, showing that buying power appeared when prices fell to attractive levels but was not strong enough to reverse the long-term downtrend.

In contrast, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor fell sharply due to the cautious sentiment of speculators in the face of the prospect of abundant supply from Brazil, a country preparing to enter the main Arabica harvest season. Selling pressure from Brazil is forecast to increase, making it difficult for Arabica prices to recover strongly in the short term.

Experts say that although international coffee prices have increased slightly in some sessions due to demand for restocking, pressure from large supplies, especially in Brazil and the prospect of output recovery in Vietnam, are still factors holding back the market's growth.

Note for coffee growers

In the context of coffee prices forecast to continue to fluctuate within a narrow range and showing no signs of a sharp increase, coffee growers need to prepare mentally to cope with unpredictable market fluctuations.

Closely monitoring the world and domestic market situation, especially developments in supply and demand, will help growers have appropriate sales strategies to optimize profits.

In addition, it should be noted that global coffee production remains high, while purchasing power in major markets has not recovered significantly due to high prices and weak purchasing power. Therefore, growers should consider carefully before deciding to harvest and sell to avoid price risks.
