Man United spends big, Arsenal faces difficulties in Viktor Gyokeres case
According to Record newspaper (Portugal), Man United is ready to pay 70 million euros (76.3 million USD) plus 10 million euros in additional fees to convince Sporting to release Viktor Gyokeres.
However, the Old Trafford team is currently facing financial difficulties and is forced to sell players who are no longer in the plan such as Antony, Rashford, Garnacho or Sancho.
In addition, the tense relationship between Sporting President Frederico Varandas and coach Ruben Amorim (who left the club) further complicated the deal. Meanwhile, Arsenal have reached a personal agreement with Gyokeres and have a big advantage thanks to a place in the Champions League next season.
Bournemouth reach agreement to sign Chelsea goalkeeper
Bournemouth have agreed a £25 million ($32.3 million) deal to sign goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea, according to Sky Sports. The Serbia international is expected to complete a medical soon before officially joining the Vitality Stadium team.
Petrovic impressed for Strasbourg last season (on loan from Chelsea). If the deal is completed, the 25-year-old will become Bournemouth's first-choice goalkeeper, replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has just completed his loan deal and moved to Arsenal.
Newcastle sign Anthony Elanga for £55m
Newcastle United confirmed the successful signing of striker Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest for a fee of 55 million pounds ($71 million), including 52 million upfront and 3 million in additional fees.
The Swedish winger became the third new signing of the Magpies in the summer of 2025. In the 2024/25 season, Elanga scored 6 goals and had 11 assists, making a great contribution to helping Forest almost qualify for the Champions League.
“I had two great years at Nottingham but I am very happy to be at Newcastle – a team with big ambitions and who won the title last season,” Elanga said.
Man United – Elanga's former team – are expected to receive around £6–8 million ($7.7–10.3 million) from the deal, having included a clause that would see them receive 15–20% of subsequent transfers.
Liverpool in talks to sign Hugo Ekitike
According to Der Spiegel, Liverpool are approaching Eintracht Frankfurt to recruit young striker Hugo Ekitike. Coach Arne Slot highly appreciates the potential of the French striker, who has scored 15 goals in 33 matches since joining Frankfurt in early 2024.
Although he has not been called up to the national team, Ekitike has scored 5 goals in 5 matches for the French U21 team. This is considered a long-term reinforcement for The Kop's attack.
Bayern Munich submits 52 million euro offer for Luis Diaz
Bayern Munich have made a €52 million ($56.7 million) bid for Liverpool striker Luis Diaz, according to BILD, but the offer is still significantly lower than the Anfield club's €80 million ($87.2 million) asking price.
After Jamal Musiala suffered a serious injury at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Bayern decided to compete with Barcelona for this deal. The Bundesliga representative is said to have a financial advantage and is less constrained by financial fair play regulations than its La Liga rival.
Jordan Henderson returns to the Premier League
Brentford are set to sign former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on a two-year deal on a free transfer. Henderson has been brought in to fill the void left by Christian Norgaard (who recently moved to Arsenal) in midfield.
The London club is going through a turbulent transfer period: not only did they say goodbye to their captain, they also lost coach Thomas Frank to Tottenham. Brentford's most realistic goal next season is to successfully avoid relegation.
Marco Asensio is preparing to leave PSG and join Fenerbahce
ESPN reports that Fenerbahce are close to completing the signing of midfielder Marco Asensio from PSG. The Spanish star is no longer in the French club's plans and has only one year left on his contract.
Last season, Asensio was loaned to Aston Villa, scoring 8 goals and providing 1 assist in 21 games. Fenerbahce are likely to sign him for a low fee in the coming days.
Burnley officially have Jacob Bruun Larsen
Premier League newcomers Burnley have confirmed the signing of winger Jacob Bruun Larsen from VfB Stuttgart on a four-year deal. Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed, the deal is considered reasonable for the Lancashire club's budget.
Jacob Larsen played for Burnley on loan in the 2023/24 season, scoring 6 goals in 32 matches. He is expected to be an important piece in Burnley's journey to stay in the league next season.
