Tax officers support Mai Hung Group Company Limited employees with corporate tax declaration procedures.
After many years of operating as a household business and paying taxes in the form of lump-sum taxes, in May 2025, Mai Hung Group Dental Clinic (Thanh Sen Ward) boldly "upgraded" to a business to enhance its legal status, increase access to capital, expand its scale and enjoy tax incentives and policies from the State.
According to Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, newly established enterprises will be exempted from corporate income tax for the first two years, then reduced by 50% for the next four years.
Doctor Pham Tien Hung - Director of Mai Hung Group Company Limited said: “Many medical examination and treatment customers participate in insurance packages. Therefore, when we become a business, we can easily issue invoices to customers. In addition, we can also deduct input invoices, so tax declaration is transparent and clear. On the other hand, converting from a business household to an enterprise also helps us increase professionalism and brand reputation, creating favorable conditions for developing a network of customers coming for medical examination and treatment.”

Having just converted from a business household to an enterprise, Kim Hoang Gia Furniture Production and Trading Company Limited (Tran Phu Ward) has recruited more employees to implement accounting, tax declaration, and revenue transparency according to regulations. From a retail business household, Kim Hoang Gia is currently building a roadmap to develop into a furniture distribution enterprise for remote communes in Ha Tinh .
Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Director of Kim Hoang Gia Furniture Production and Trading Company Limited said: “Previously, in the form of a business household paying lump-sum tax, we did not take input invoices because it was not necessary. When we became an enterprise, these invoices were deducted when calculating taxes. In our warehouse, there are still about 400 million VND worth of goods purchased at the time we were a business household. This is a problem in the early stages, we hope the tax industry will support us to solve the problem of input invoices for this inventory.”

According to Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development of the Politburo , the country aims to have 2 million enterprises by 2030 and 3 million enterprises by 2045. Therefore, from June 1, 2025, the tax sector will implement regulations requiring business households with revenue of 1 billion VND/year or more to switch to tax declaration. This is an important "practice" step for business households to have the capacity and conditions to transform into enterprises in the near future.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Thao - Director of Ngoc Thao General Trading and Service Company Limited (Song Tri Ward) said: "When I became a business, I found it more convenient than a business household paying lump-sum tax. In the stationery business, the company has clear invoices and documents so it can deduct taxes. In addition, when becoming a business, the accounting system is implemented more openly and transparently, helping us have more opportunities to access capital from banks to expand our business scale."

According to data from the Ha Tinh Statistical Office, in the first 6 months of the year, the province had 840 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 3,145 billion VND (an increase of 31% in the number of enterprises compared to the same period in 2024). Of these, nearly 300 business households converted their business registration.
According to the leader of Ha Tinh Province Tax, it is expected that from January 1, 2026, the lump-sum tax mechanism will officially end for all business households and be replaced by self-declaration and tax payment based on actual revenue. This is a breakthrough reform, paving the way for a transition to a transparent tax declaration form, laying a solid foundation for business households to become official enterprises. Therefore, business households in Ha Tinh "upgrading" to enterprises is an inevitable trend to develop the private economy according to Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
