Promoting the implementation of Estonian projects in Vietnam

On the afternoon of June 6 (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received and worked with a number of large Estonian economic groups to promote investment and business cooperation in Vietnam.

At the meetings, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Estonia, to invest and do business effectively and sustainably.

During a meeting with the leaders of Bolt Group, Mr. Jevgeni Kabanov, President in charge of global public policy, said that Bolt is looking to do business in Vietnam and requested to be granted an operating license soon.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said he has directed relevant Vietnamese agencies to reform administrative procedures, shorten the time for granting investment licenses, and suggested that Bolt organize investment and business in major cities and then expand to other provinces and cities, while developing new fields and business types, developing digital transformation models, applying artificial intelligence to management and operations; sharing experiences with Vietnamese management agencies and enterprises, aiming for cooperation and sustainable development.

At the meeting between the Prime Minister and the leaders of 5.0 Robotics Company, Mr. Carlo Lustrissimi, CEO and co-founder, and Ms. Ilaria Perla, Business Director of the company, said that 5.0 Robotics is a young Estonian technology company, specializing in providing compact, affordable industrial robot solutions suitable for all business sizes.

Stating that the company's solutions have been used in many countries such as the UK, Ireland, Australia, etc., 5.0 Robotics Company proposed implementing the project "100 robots for 100 talents", deploying 100 advanced CNC machines for 100 Vietnamese small and medium enterprises, and supporting training to improve skills for 100 local robot operators.

The Prime Minister hopes that 5.0 Robotics Company will transfer technology to Vietnam; promote the development of an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam, especially in the fields of AI and smart factories; connect and support startups to access technology from 5.0 Robotics, and train high-quality human resources.

The Prime Minister suggested that 5.0 Robotics Company closely coordinate and cooperate effectively with Vietnamese technology corporations to jointly develop and expand the market, especially in Europe and ASEAN, while affirming its role and position in the region and the world .

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also visited Cybernetica, one of the symbols of Estonia's digital economy and a global pioneer in e-government solutions, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure, a major partner of the e-Estonia Center that the Prime Minister visited the same morning.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed with Cybernetica the possibility of success and feasibility when applying solutions to a country with a population of over 100 million people like Vietnam; institutional, regulatory and legal reforms for successful implementation; the issue of balancing digitalization and citizen data security; public-private partnership; investment in digital infrastructure such as cloud services, high-speed internet, cyber security, etc.

The Prime Minister said he had agreed with the Prime Minister of Estonia to establish a working group between the two countries to continue exchanging and supporting Vietnam in the fields of digital transformation, building a digital government, developing a digital society, and digital citizens; and asked Cybernetica to exchange experiences and cooperate to support Vietnam, contributing to the implementation of the agreement between the two countries.
