On the training ground bustling with footsteps in the days of June, officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security are diligently practicing, preparing for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80).

Despite hardships and difficulties, many soldiers still participated in two consecutive historic parades with deep honor and pride.

Participating in training with the female special police force at the training ground on the campus of Hanoi National University (Hoa Lac commune, Thach That district, Hanoi), Nguyen Bao Trinh, a student majoring in police investigation at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Police University, was happy to be selected for the second time to be in the parade formation in the country's important event.

Previously, Trinh had participated in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (A50). Now, when she continues to wear her military uniform and march in the female special police force at the ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, she considers it not only an honor, but also a source of pride in her military career.

"Participating in the parade at Ba Dinh Square - a sacred place associated with important milestones of the nation - is a dream, an unforgettable milestone in my journey to adulthood," Trinh shared.

For nearly a month, Trinh and her teammates have been practicing diligently under the blazing sun. From early morning to late afternoon, their regular steps and decisive movements have become a daily rhythm. Sweat drenched their backs, their shoulders and legs ached, but no one in the female special police force has faltered.

"The more difficult it is, the more I feel I need to try harder to be worthy of the honor given. Every step is not only a responsibility, but also a pride of a People's Public Security soldier," Trinh expressed.

During a break after hours of sweaty training, Quang Van Nam, a student majoring in Party building and state administration at the People's Public Security Academy, said he was honored to be selected for the parade.

Nam participated in the parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory in 2024 (A70). The young soldier clearly remembers the days of training under the scorching sun and thunderstorms of the Northwest.

Now, as he continues to shoulder the responsibility of attending the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, Nam cannot hide his pride and emotion.

"It is an honor to be part of the parade twice to celebrate major events of the country. Each step not only demonstrates youthfulness, but also affirms the loyalty, will and responsibility of today's generation of officers and soldiers," Nam shared.

He said the two parades had one thing in common: the hardships of training. The harsh weather was always the first challenge. The hot summer months, the scorching sun, and sudden showers made each training session a test of will.

"Rehearsing for the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory in April and May was hard. This year, Hanoi's summer was as hot as fire. There were days when our shoulders were soaked with sweat and our legs were unsteady. But we never faltered," Nam said.

Overcoming the heat and fatigue is not only a physical exercise but also a test of courage. In the formation, the soldiers always remind each other: "We must walk with will, spirit and ideals, not just with our feet."

"Each person is a link in the common formation. Each line, each step must be in order. Although we are tired, thinking about the day we can walk across Ba Dinh Square and greet beloved Uncle Ho, we feel like we have more strength," he said emotionally.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Tung Lam - a student at the People's Public Security Academy - emotionally recalled the times he watched the A70 and A50 parades through newspapers and television. The image of the majestic marching troops was always engraved in Lam's mind and aroused his desire to participate one day.

At that time, Lam was just an admiring spectator. Now, when he was officially selected to practice for the parade on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, his pride was stronger than ever. Lam clearly felt the great honor and sacred responsibility of a police officer in an event of historical significance.

"When I first received the news that I was selected, I was a bit worried, not knowing if I had enough physical strength to adapt to the high intensity of training. But thanks to the close attention and encouragement of the coaching staff, I quickly adapted," Lam said.

As a student of the People's Public Security Academy, Lam understands the meaning of each step in the parade. "Wearing the green shirt, I love my country and my profession even more, so I always remind myself to practice seriously and be disciplined in every movement," Lam said.

He promised to work with his teammates to do their best so that on September 2, when they march across the historic Ba Dinh Square, each line of soldiers will be in line, each step will be strong and sure, demonstrating the bravery and will of a police officer.
