After a series of hot increases, the domestic and international pepper markets have unexpectedly fallen into a state of "inaction". Although pepper prices in many key regions of Vietnam have remained stable, this stability has raised concerns about the short-term market outlook.

Pepper price today 8/4/2025 latest in the country
At 4:35 a.m. on August 4, Da Nang Newspaper recorded that pepper prices had leveled off after a sharp increase, currently fluctuating between 139,000 - 140,000 VND/kg. The market shows that this stability appears simultaneously in all provinces and cities. Specifically:
Local | Price (VND/kg) | Fluctuation (VND/kg) |
---|---|---|
Prices in local areas | ||
Gia Lai | 139,000 | - |
Ho Chi Minh City | 139,000 | - |
Dong Nai (former Binh Phuoc) | 139,000 | - |
Dak Lak | 139,500 | - |
Lam Dong (former Dak Nong) | 140,000 | - |
Gia Lai and Ho Chi Minh City are two areas that recorded stable prices at 139,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper prices in Dong Nai (former Binh Phuoc) also remained unchanged at 139,000 VND/kg.
The price of coffee and pepper in Dak Lak is slightly higher, reaching 139,500 VND/kg, but there is no change.
Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) continues to lead with the highest price among the surveyed provinces, reaching 140,000 VND/kg, and also remaining the same as the previous day.
After a series of sharp increases, domestic pepper prices have recently shown signs of slowing down, hovering around VND139,000 - 140,000/kg. Although there have been days when prices have increased slightly in some localities, the general trend shows that the market is "standing still", waiting for a new boost. This stability may bring peace of mind to farmers, but it also makes investors wonder about the short-term outlook.
