Welcoming President Luong Cuong and his wife Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet and the high-ranking delegation of our country at Cairo International Airport, on the Egyptian side were Minister of Education and Training Mohammed Abdel Latif; Head of Protocol of the Presidential Office Mohammad Yehia.
On the Vietnamese side, there were Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Huy Dung and his wife; Vietnamese Ambassadors to Algeria, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania; and officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt.
The State visit of President Luong Cuong took place in the context of positive development of Vietnam-Egypt relations; this was the first visit by a key Vietnamese leader to Egypt in 7 years.
This is an important foreign political event of the two countries, of strategic significance, with long-term impact on the development of Vietnam-Egypt relations in the context of the two countries entering a new era, a new era of development.

Through this visit, the leaders of both sides hope to soon bring bilateral relations to a new height in order to open up a new space with much potential and room for friendly and cooperative relations for a common prosperous future, while building and better exploiting new cooperation mechanisms on the basis of respecting international law and the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and political institutions of each country.

During the visit, President Luong Cuong is expected to hold high-level talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi; meet with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Senate President Abdel Razek and House of Representatives President Hanafy El-Gebaly; and deliver a policy speech at the Arab League (AL) Headquarters.
On this occasion, the President also met with officials and staff of the Embassy, neighboring agencies and Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Egypt...
