Thanh Hoa coastal wooden bridge causes a stir thanks to its beautiful sunset view like in Phu Quoc

According to research, this wooden bridge has just been opened to welcome guests since the beginning of May. The bridge is about 1km long, located in a resort in Nghi Son, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province.

Walking along the bridge, visitors will see many impressive sea view spots at Dong beach and beautiful check-in spots. Along the bridge, there are also drink stalls built from wood, bamboo, and thatched roofs.

"This is one of the places that many tourists come to check in during their trip to Bai Dong, Thanh Hoa this summer, besides famous photo angles such as the beach in the resort, 'lonely tree',...", Le Minh Quan (24 years old), a young man from Nghi Son who is working in tourism services here said.

Currently, visitors staying at the tourist area can check-in at the wooden bridge for free. Visitors from outside will have to pay a fee of about 100,000 VND/person.

"Visitors should come here at dawn or dusk, when the weather is cool and the scenery is poetic and romantic. Depending on the time of day, the rocky beach at the foot of the bridge can be covered by rising sea water," said Minh Quan.

However, according to Mr. Quan, the entrance fee to visit and take photos at this bridge is quite high while the service is limited, not really attractive. Female visitors should prepare more comfortable shoes and sandals to move on the long wooden bridge.

Located at the southern gateway of Thanh Hoa province, Nghi Son town owns a nearly 42km long coastline with many pristine beaches, clear water, fine sand such as Hai Hoa, Dong beach...

Currently, Nghi Son town has 127 tourist accommodation establishments, including 1 hotel built to 4-star standards, 6 3-star hotels, 30 1-2 star hotels and 90 motels and homestays.

For the past 4 years, Dong beach has been loved by many tourists because of its wild, peaceful beauty, clear blue sea, convenient transportation, fresh seafood and cheap prices.

This place is about 60km south of Thanh Hoa city center and more than 200km from Hanoi. From Hanoi, visitors can travel to Dong beach in just 4-4.5 hours by private car, limousine, or bus.

Visitors here can participate in experiences such as SUP rowing, night squid fishing, visiting Me island, watching the sunrise at Dong beach, going to the fish market...

According to Minh Quan, the night squid fishing experience usually takes place from 7pm the night before until dawn the next day. Tourists will follow local fishermen’s fishing boats, about 25km from shore. They will be given squid fishing gear and instructions on how to fish.

"This is the squid season, so most tourists can catch squid successfully. When caught, the squid is steamed, boiled, cooked with instant noodles... to enjoy right on the boat.

If tourists are not lucky enough to catch squid, they can eat squid caught by locals in the boat's hold. The squid is fresh and very sweet, so it is loved," Quan said.

Tourists can travel to Bai Dong for 2 days 1 night or 3 days 2 nights. This place is not as crowded as Sam Son, Hai Tien but in the summer, especially on weekends, the number of visitors is quite large. Tourists should book rooms in advance.
