Information about updating driver's license on VNeID

On July 14, the Traffic Police Department said that after passing the test to issue a driving license that meets the requirements on the National Identification Application (VNeID) of the individual (according to the declared personal identification code), people will receive a notification message and request to update their driving license information.

Specifically, people update information as required, provided that the Citizen Identification Number matches the ID number when registering for the exam and installing VNeID level 2.

However, there are also cases where the VNeID electronic identification account does not display driver's license information data after 3 days of the person passing the test completing the declaration procedures.

This error is due to the transmission line being overloaded, the data synchronization process between systems has to go through many steps leading to slowness; the individual incorrectly declared one of the information contents; the individual did not open the message and make the update request on VNeID.

According to the Traffic Police Department, from July 14, 2025, the department has coordinated with technical units to fix and optimize the transmission line, ensuring quick updates. Therefore, for individuals who have successfully passed the test but have not seen their driving license information updated on VNeID, they need to access VNeID to update information related to their driving license.

The Traffic Police Department also recommends that people absolutely do not listen to phone calls for instructions or access strange links because they are very susceptible to being taken advantage of and scammed.
