More than 10,400 billion VND has been disbursed for gift giving expenses to people on National Day.

(Dan Tri) - The amount of money disbursed from the State Treasury to give to people on the occasion of National Day was nearly 10,429 billion VND as of noon on September 1, reaching 96.99% of the assigned estimate.

According to quick data compiled by the State Treasury ( Ministry of Finance ), by 11:00 a.m. on September 1, 1,929 communes out of a total of 3,321 communes received funds and organized gift giving of 100,000 VND to citizens, accounting for 58.08%.

The amount disbursed from the Treasury reached nearly VND 10,429 billion, accounting for 96.99% of the assigned estimate (over VND 10,700 billion).

According to reports, 34 provinces and cities across the country are urgently implementing the work of giving gifts to each person.

In particular, in 18 provinces and cities, including Hue, Bac Ninh , Ca Mau, Cao Bang, Dong Thap, Ha Tinh, Hung Yen, Lam Dong, Lai Chau, Khanh Hoa, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Son La, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, all communes and wards have completed withdrawing funds from the State Treasury to organize the implementation of gift spending at facilities according to regulations.

In the remaining provinces and cities, localities have achieved over 90% of communes and wards completing the withdrawal of funds from the State Treasury to organize gift giving to citizens, and continue to urge and support the remaining units to deploy and complete the tasks.

The State Treasury is continuing to closely coordinate with localities and relevant units, determined to ensure that all people receive gifts on the right occasion, to the right recipients and meeting the prescribed standards.

Each citizen will receive 100,000 VND on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. The total amount is expected to be more than 10,700 billion VND. The transfer of money for September 2 to the people will start from August 30 and will be completed before September 2. In case of objective reasons, citizens can receive gifts after this deadline, but no later than September 15.

People can receive money through the social security account integrated on VNeID. According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, there are 30 banks and wallets that have linked with the VNeID application to receive subsidies from social policies.

Citizens can also receive money directly at payment points organized by the locality. Payments are made according to permanent household. The amount of money for each household is calculated for each person based on national data. The head of the household or an authorized member will receive it on behalf of the other members. For citizens who have not registered as permanent residents, the gift is given directly to each person or authorized person.
