Israeli and US officials have denied reports that Israel, the US and Hamas have reached a temporary deal to free dozens of women and children hostages.

Reuters reported that the Washington Post (USA) cited several sources saying that Israel, the US and Hamas forces have reached a temporary agreement to help rescue dozens of hostages, including women and children. In return, there will be a 5-day ceasefire.

According to the details of the six-page agreement, the hostages will be released in the coming days, barring any last-minute setbacks. The sides will halt fighting for at least five days, in exchange for the release of more than 50 hostages in batches every 24 hours. The pause in fighting is also intended to allow a significant amount of aid to enter the Gaza Strip. The agreement follows weeks of negotiations between the parties in Qatar.

However, both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US officials have insisted that no agreement has been reached. “Regarding the hostage issue, there are many unfounded rumors, inaccurate reports. So far, there is no agreement,” Netanyahu said.

A White House spokesman also said that Israel and Hamas have not yet reached an agreement on a ceasefire, and the US is continuing efforts to reach an agreement.
