The movie is showing in theaters nationwide.
A satisfying scene about dinosaurs in the movie.
Written by David Koepp (who wrote the original 1993 film), directed by Gareth Edwards, and with a completely new cast, “Jurassic World : Rebirth” is expected to create the same impression and success as the first film.
The film takes place a few years after part 6, when dinosaurs are out of control and scattered in the wild. Many capitalist corporations take advantage of giant animals for transportation and medical purposes. A pharmaceutical company wants to secretly research a special medicine to treat heart disease from DNA samples of 3 giant dinosaurs: 1 underwater, 1 on land and 1 flying. They send a group of former agents, dinosaur researchers, company employees... to an isolated island where dinosaurs are located to collect blood samples. On the way, they save a family whose boat capsized due to an attack by underwater dinosaurs. After escaping danger, the group drifts to the island and begins a new adventure...
Continuing to exploit the classic adventure - survival direction, "Jurassic World: Rebirth" brings to the audience heart-stopping, tense chases between small humans and giant dinosaurs. In particular, the island where they arrived used to have a laboratory researching the crossbreeding of new dinosaur breeds, then was abandoned due to failure. Therefore, throughout the film, the audience can admire many new and mutated dinosaur species. Many spectacular scenes and effects make the audience amazed. The sound and soundtrack are lively, contributing to enhancing the audience's emotions.
The film also raises many interesting questions about biotechnology, evolution, ethics, and the role of humans in re-establishing the ecosystem. However, these ideas are only suggestive and not as deeply explored as expected. Although at the end of the film, the two main characters decide to use the collected DNA samples for the purpose of saving humanity rather than commercializing, it is vague and ambiguous rather than convincing. Bringing a family of civilians into an involuntary adventure is intended to create novelty, but viewers feel like they are lost and do not contribute to the plot. The chase and hunt for dinosaurs are dangerous, but many times, the characters act and behave as if they are going out for a walk, making viewers frustrated. Some unreasonable details make the audience laugh and think to themselves: if the director wants it that way, the characters and the plot must be like that!
The actors are average, nothing groundbreaking. Actress Scarlett Johansson (famous for her action roles) plays the role of former agent Zora Bennett in this film, but she doesn't have many scenes to show off her strength in action and fighting; her inner thoughts are also not profound, so she doesn't leave an impression like in previous films.
Although it did not create a breakthrough, the 7th part of the film still met the entertainment needs of the majority of viewers. If it wants to make a big splash and continue to make the next parts, the film needs more creative scripts and deeper stories so that the audience can remember it longer.
