Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants complete 99.8% of total volume

Up to now, Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant Project in Dong Nai has completed 99.8% of the total work volume. Equipment procurement and installation work has been completed.

Of which, Nhon Trach 3 Plant has been connected to the national grid since February 5, 2025 and is in the acceptance test phase, expected to be commercially operational in mid-August 2025.

Nhon Trach 4 Plant will connect to the grid for the first time on June 26, 2025. According to the plan, after completing the testing and technical evaluation steps, the plant will officially go into commercial operation in November 2025.

Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants are key national projects in the energy sector built in the province. The project has a total investment of about 1.4 billion USD, a capacity of 1.5-1.6 thousand MW, and is the first energy project using imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) to generate electricity in Vietnam. When operating, the plants not only contribute to increasing the power supply for the national system, but also aim at the goal of sustainable energy transition, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and developing a green economy .
