Thai Nguyen has 2 works winning the National Press Award 'For National Security and Peaceful Life'

On the evening of August 13, at Ho Guom Theater, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the National Press Awards Ceremony "For National Security and Peaceful Life" for the period 2023-2025, with the theme "Dedicated heart, sharp pen".

The award ceremony was attended by comrades: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of Public Security , Head of the Award Steering Committee; Le Quoc Minh, Party Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

The Organizing Committee of this year's Award received nearly 1,300 works in various types of journalism: print, electronic, radio, television, and press photos, an increase of nearly 3 times compared to the previous season. Many of these works were carefully invested in, applying new journalism technology and multimedia journalism, demonstrating the dedication of the authors.

The works participating in the Award not only contribute to spreading positive information and creating consensus in society, but also arouse confidence, encourage the spirit, aspiration to contribute and sacrifice of generations of People's Public Security officers and soldiers in protecting and maintaining security and order.

6 authors and groups of authors have works that won A prize.

From 152 works in the Final Round, the Organizing Committee selected 72 outstanding works to award prizes. Of these, 6 works won A prizes, 12 works won B prizes, 19 works won C prizes and 35 works won Encouragement prizes.

Thai Nguyen province has 2 works that won the Encouragement Prize: Hot situation of making and using fake documents , by a group of authors from Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Radio and Television; the work Extended arm in the "upside down" village by a group of authors from the Political Work Department, Provincial Police.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized: Our country is gradually entering an era of rising up, developing richly, civilizedly and prosperously. In that context, the role of the People's Public Security and the press is becoming more and more important. The Public Security force is the core, the "sword" and the "steel shield", while the press is a special political and ideological force, the "eyes and ears" protecting the Party, the State and the people.

Therefore, press agencies, journalists, especially those writing about security and order, need to deeply and comprehensively understand the Central Government's policies and strategic decisions on national construction, development and protection.

He requested the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Journalists Association to maintain and develop the "For National Security and Peaceful Life" Press Award in a more professional and in-depth manner.
