Director of the Departmentof Education and Training Tran Quang Bao presented decisions on transfer, appointment and assignment to civil servants of the Department of Organization and Personnel.
Reporter: Could you please tell us the key tasks of the An Giang Education and Training sector after the merger?
Mr. Tran Quang Bao: Up to now, the Department of Education and Training has basically completed the arrangement of headquarters and facilities to ensure working conditions for cadres and civil servants after the merger. The head office of the department is located on Dong Da Street, Rach Gia Ward (formerly the head office of the Department of Education and Training of Kien Giang ); Head office 2 is located on Nguyen Trung Truc Street (formerly the head office of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Vinh Lac Ward, Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province). All civil servants and employees of the department work at the head office; Head office 2 serves the work of archiving records, printing exam papers and organizing professional training.
The Department of Education and Training has basically completed the organization and arrangement of staff according to the new apparatus. On the afternoon of July 4, the department completed the handover of facilities, equipment, finance, personnel, and ongoing projects from the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province (before the merger).
Next, we will continue to arrange and ensure working conditions for cadres and civil servants; consolidate and restructure affiliated units to suit the new situation. The Department is urgently completing the assignment of tasks within the Department's leadership; adjusting and supplementing regulations and rules; review the tasks, targets and tasks of the industry by the end of 2025 to propose implementation solutions, assign tasks and divide specific time periods to ensure the completion of tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.
In addition, the Department of Education and Training will develop and organize consultation to issue regulations on coordination between the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees at the communal level in implementing education and training tasks in the locality (expected to be issued on August 1). At the same time, leaders will be assigned to monitor, direct and be responsible for the results of comprehensive education and training development in assigned communes, wards and special zones.
After July 1, school names must change to match the new administrative unit. The Department of Education and Training has held a meeting and issued a document guiding the unification of school name changes for 102 communes, wards, and special zones in the province.
Reporter: In the immediate future, what urgent tasks will the Department of Education and Training focus on?
Mr. Tran Quang Bao: In parallel with the above-mentioned key tasks, the Department of Education and Training is currently focusing on directing the grading of the 2025 high school graduation exam and completing the remaining stages so that the exam takes place safely, in accordance with regulations and on schedule. The Department has completed the consolidation of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam; consolidate the examination council and the committees of the examination council. This year's examination council organizes 2 examination boards, located in An Giang province (old) and Kien Giang province (old). The Department has also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee submit to the Provincial People's Council a resolution regulating the expenditure levels for the activities of the committees in the examination council and related members.
The arrangement and facilitation of learning conditions for students who are children of cadres, civil servants and public employees of An Giang province (before the merger) to work in localities of Kien Giang province (before the merger) is also being focused on. The Department has sent survey forms to cadres, civil servants and public employees who want to register their children for study. After collecting the list and grasping the specific situation, it is expected that on July 15, a conference will be held with the participation of the chairmen of the commune-level People's Committees, leaders of units and schools on the registration list, to thoroughly grasp the policies and viewpoints of the Department, with the goal of ensuring the right to study for children of cadres after the merger of the province. It is expected that in the second half of July, students will complete the enrollment procedures to be in time for the new school year 2025 - 2026 in August.
| After the merger, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province has 7 specialized departments; 121 affiliated units, including: 95 high schools, 3 specialized high schools, 2 ethnic boarding high schools, 5 ethnic boarding middle schools, 4 intermediate schools, 1 school for children with disabilities, 2 provincial continuing education centers, 9 vocational education - continuing education centers. The department's staff includes 118 civil servants and 8,029 public employees; currently there are 7,596 public employees and 112 civil servants. |
