The project to invest in the construction of the Square and flower garden in front of the headquarters of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Son La City was approved by the Chairman of the City People's Committee for the Son La City Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. Construction started at the end of March 2025, with the goal of completing the technical infrastructure system and urban embellishment in front of the City's headquarters. The project covers an area of ​​0.42 hectares, including the following items: Construction of the square, campus, landscape combined with parking lots and auxiliary items.

Mr. Do Van Tru, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: This is one of the key urban beautification projects of the City. Construction units have focused on human resources and equipment, speeding up construction progress and ensuring the quality of the project. When the project officially comes into operation, it will create a meaningful community cultural space.

Present at the construction site, Mr. Pham Minh Do, representative of the Son La Urban Services Company and Tan Thanh Electricity Company, said: With the goal of finishing before July, the unit has mobilized maximum human resources, machinery and equipment, arranged to work in 3 shifts, continuously from early morning to late night. Currently, we are focusing on completing the paving of the walking path, decorating the lighting system, and have so far completed 90% of the plan, ensuring the quality and aesthetics of the project.

The square and flower garden project creates a modern public space, which is the desire of neighboring households. Ms. Dieu Thi Yen, Group 7, Chieng Le Ward, City, said: Previously, this area was an office, the space was narrow, children had no place to play. Now, the square and flower garden project is about to be completed, we are very excited because there is an additional green, clean, beautiful, civilized common living space.
