Pickup truck driver detained for multiple crashes and leaving the scene

Authorities are detaining the pickup truck driver who caused a series of accidents on Highway 27 to serve the investigation.

Previously, at about 11:00 a.m. on July 10, at Km4, National Highway 27 (section through Tan Lap ward, Dak Lak province), driver Hoang Tan Luc (born in 1997, residing in Ea Ktur commune, Dak Lak province) drove a pickup truck with license plate 47C-239.65 traveling from Dak Lak province to Lam Dong province.

Accident scene.

When reaching the above road section, there was a collision with a pickup truck with license plate 47C-165.69 driven by Dang Van Lich (born in 1985, residing in Hoa Phu commune, Dak Lak province) traveling in the same direction ahead. Then the pickup truck 47C-239.65 continued to collide with an electric bicycle driven by Luong Ngoc Bao Han (born in 2014, residing in Tan Lap ward) traveling in the same direction ahead.

As a result, Luong Ngoc Bao Han was injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. At the scene, 3 vehicles were damaged, with property damage estimated at about 30 million VND.

The cause of the accident, according to initial assessment, was that Hoang Tan Luc was driving without keeping a safe distance.

After the accident, Hoang Tan Luc drove away from the scene. He was then arrested by local people (about 10 km from the accident scene) and handed over to Tan Lap Ward Police for processing.
