MV Pain in the Middle of Peace by Hoa Minzy is receiving attention from the audience. On the evening of August 31, the video reached 10 million views after 10 days of release, setting many achievements on domestic music charts.
Besides compliments for the catchy melody of the song and the carefully invested MV images, the audience also paid attention to Hoa Minzy's outfit and style in this comeback.

Stylist Khuc Manh Quan - the person behind the process of creating Hoa Minzy's style in the MV "The Pain of Peace" - said that he and his team had carefully calculated from the beginning of the project.
When discussing the idea of dressing a rural girl from decades ago, the team paid special attention to authenticity and historical consistency. The team eliminated many modern elements, focusing only on the rusticity and simple dressing habits of people in the past.

Stylist Khuc Manh Quan and the crew discussed carefully to choose costumes and accessories for Hoa Minzy in the MV (Photo: Character provided).
The costumes are made of plain fabric, monochrome, rustic, with round neck and lotus neck designs, prepared for Hoa Minzy to fully play the role of a country girl in the 1970s.
One of the factors that the stylist and crew took great care in choosing was the material. "I found out that during the subsidy period, people often wore rough fabrics, linen... but if put in the MV, these materials are very easy to wrinkle, difficult to control when moving, especially under the filming lights.
After many discussions, the crew chose phin fabric - a thin cotton, with a moderate shape, light but still retains the feeling of closeness to the old material. In addition, there is still linen or raw fabric, but only in some suitable segments, to avoid the audience seeing the mess", Khuc Manh Quan shared.
To make brand new clothes look aged, stylists soak the clothes in tea or coffee to discolor the fabric, creating the feeling of having been worn for a long time.
"I had to soak some white shirts overnight to achieve the right amount of dullness. There were urgent scenes where shirts had to be sewn right on set, then soaked in green tea and dried urgently to create a faded feel," Khuc Manh Quan revealed.

According to the stylist, Hoa Minzy wore about 10 outfits in the MV, all of which were "tailor-made" for the female singer. In particular, the scenes where the female lead character was pregnant also put quite a bit of pressure on the stylist.
To accurately portray the female lead's 7th and 9th month of pregnancy, Khuc Manh Quan constantly discussed with the director to adjust the size of the fake pregnant belly to suit each scene. The fake bellies were rented, then measured precisely according to Hoa Minzy's measurements, so that when attached, the overall look would not be awkward.
According to Khuc Manh Quan, in the first scenes in Quang Tri , he only had one night to prepare Hoa Minzy's costumes in time for the early morning flight. In the next four days, the costumes were gradually completed and continuously added to the filming crew. In that short period of time, the crew had to find ideas, tailor, handle accessories and prepare spare costumes.
