People's Artist Lan Huong and Meritorious Artist Do Ky took wedding photos after nearly 40 years of marriage, attracting a lot of public attention.

When asked about the reason for taking wedding photos, People's Artist Lan Huong said: "My husband and I took this photo series to recall memories of the past. Back then, we were still poor, everyone's weddings were simple. When I got married, there were only a few flowers and an ao dai. Nowadays, the country is developing, everyone's life is better, but the ao dai is still the traditional beauty chosen by brides."

The actress nicknamed "national mother-in-law" said she and Meritorious Artist Do Ky got married in 1987.
She recalled: "At our wedding, Mr. Ky went to the market to buy some flowers, brought them home, and personally wrapped them for me, using wax paper to decorate them. At that time, everything had to be economical."

The love between People's Artist Lan Huong and Meritorious Artist Do Ky has lasted nearly 40 years. The two artists have known each other since 1978 but it was not until 1987 that they got married.
People's Artist Lan Huong humorously shared: "Because we saw our classmates getting married, we both thought we had to get married or else we would be single forever. We told each other that and then got married."

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter before, actress Lan Huong said that both she and her husband like to maintain traditional values and sustainability, especially always being honest with each other. "We are not flashy, not formal with each other," she said.

People's Artist Lan Huong emphasized: "In the decades of marriage, we have never raised our voices at each other, even when we were young. My family does not have any major conflicts. When we start to see differences in opinion, one person will be silent and the other will understand. The conflict will be resolved at a more appropriate time."
On his part, Meritorious Artist Do Ky also said: "My wife Lan Huong and I know how to control our emotions. We have an unspoken agreement that our matters should not be known to outsiders. Private matters should only be resolved between the two of us."

People's Artist Lan Huong said that she is the one who takes care of all internal and external affairs in the family.
"With my husband's family, I can do everything, from funerals to cooking and washing dishes. One thing that Ky always acknowledges is that I always do all the housework. I have never differentiated between my husband's and my wife's families. Therefore, everyone loves me very much. Many of my husband's relatives are even closer to me than Ky. I am the one who reconciles conflicts in the family," actress Lan Huong shared.

Ao dai designer Dung Nguyen, who created the costumes and photos for the actress couple Lan Huong and Do Ky, shared: "We wanted to recreate the image of the happy couple in the past on their wedding day after the country was at peace . The bride wore a simple wedding ao dai, in her hand was a traditional, simple bouquet of gladiolus, but her eyes and smile all shone with happiness.
Their love, as strong as their love for their country, is built from the smallest things: respect, sharing and gratitude.

In recent days, both People's Artist Lan Huong and Meritorious Artist Do Ky have participated in training with delegates in the cultural and sports sector, preparing for the celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80).

Sharing about the days of rehearsal for the parade, People's Artist Lan Huong said that it was an honor for her and the participants. Despite being over 60 years old and having health problems (knee pain), People's Artist Lan Huong still tried her best to participate in the rehearsals.
She emphasized that the spirit of the artists, especially the elderly, is very admirable. "There are 70-year-old tuong, cheo, and cai luong artists who wear 5-7-layer performance costumes, which are very difficult to move in, but they still practice very enthusiastically," People's Artist Lan Huong said.

She was moved to share stories about the warm feelings of Hanoi people during the days of training for A80: "From the moment we got off the bus from Tran Nhat Duat dike and walked into the rehearsal area, the people on both sides of the street were happy and excited. Everyone was very enthusiastic, thoughtful and caring. People brought food, drinks, and fans to invite strangers, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere."

People's Artist Lan Huong also told the story of a family who brought out all the fans in the house for people to use when watching the parade, along with a box of free lemonade and plum juice.
She was also impressed by the image of young people volunteering to give chairs to the elderly, and even medical staff bringing out mats for people to rest while waiting to watch the parade.

Finally, People's Artist Lan Huong hopes everyone will also share that behind the success of the parade is the dedication and love for the country of all participants, from soldiers, artists, to Hanoi people. Each person with a loving heart and sincere feelings will make a great holiday a success.
