Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu - marketing manager of Co.opmart Ha Tinh supermarket said: " In the first 2 days of the holiday, the number of customers coming to shop was not even, sometimes crowded, sometimes empty, but overall it was still more bustling than usual. Customers concentrated in the area selling essential foods and deeply discounted items."

As an ideal place chosen by many people as a destination during every holiday, Vincom shopping center also recorded a bustling atmosphere when a large number of people flocked in. In particular, inside Winmart Ha Tinh supermarket, the number of customers shopping increased sharply.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam - representative of Winmart Ha Tinh supermarket said: "Although the weather is not favorable, the number of customers is still quite large compared to normal days. Yesterday (August 30), due to the rain and storm forecast, some people tend to buy food to stock up. From this morning (August 31), the number of customers has increased. The items that customers choose to buy a lot are cosmetics, fresh food, processed food, etc. Sales are currently about 2-3 times higher than normal days."

According to many people, due to the rainy and windy weather over the past few days, and the storm that just passed, many families are reluctant to travel far and choose the form of "stay-at-home tourism ", combining shopping, entertainment, and dining near home.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (Thanh Sen Ward) shared: “ On this holiday, we chose to go to the shopping mall to let the children have fun and buy some necessary items. This time, the supermarket also has many good price promotions, so I took the opportunity to buy for my family to use gradually.”

Shopping carts filled with goods are stocked by people during the holiday season.

To ensure people's shopping needs, right from the beginning of the holiday, retailers proactively increased their supply of goods compared to normal days and increased the number of goods on shelves, while ensuring stable prices.

According to business units, because Ha Tinh has just experienced storm No. 5 and on the first day of the September 2nd holiday, the weather is still heavy rain, many localities have high water levels, so it is forecasted that the purchasing power of this year's holiday will be worse than previous holidays, but with the current number of customers, it is still quite good. Business units expect that in the next 2 days, the weather will be more favorable for entertainment and shopping activities.
