Being present in the female commando unit since the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Cam Hoa (Military Region 9) still could not hide her excitement: “Just a few hours to go until the ceremony, I really feel nervous. Being able to participate in the female commando unit on the country's important anniversary is a great honor and pride for anyone. This is the motivation for me to continue training, contributing, and being worthy of the heroic tradition that previous generations have left behind.”

The emotion of Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Cam Hoa is also the common feeling of all members of the block when in the past days everyone has been practicing hard, encouraging each other to stay healthy and mentally comfortable. Each comrade clearly identified the honor and mission to prepare well physically, mentally and spiritually.
After months of training and overcoming the harsh weather of the Northern summer, the female Special Forces soldiers still kept smiling after hours of hard training and standard manners. That was the result of a long process of discipline training so that each step across Ba Dinh Square was "correct, even, strong, and beautiful".

In another corner, in the Border Guard officer block, Captain Hoang Hung Anh, who carries a story spanning a decade, shared: “10 years ago, I was a first-year student at the Border Guard Academy. During the 70th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, I watched my seniors marching through Ba Dinh Square, despite the rain, they still marched beautifully and with great spirit. I always wished that one day I would be in that formation.” That dream finally called the name of the officer working at Serepok Border Guard Station ( Dak Lak Province Border Guard Command).

Captain Hoang Hung Anh confided: “During the training process, what left me with the most memories and emotions was the spirit of solidarity and determination of the entire unit. Every step and every movement was practiced seriously and evenly by the members of the unit, demonstrating the discipline and pride of a soldier. Each training session was also an opportunity to foster camaraderie, patriotism and the honor of participating in an important event of the country.”
When asked about his feelings at the moment the formation passed through Ba Dinh Square, a place that marked the heroic history of the nation, Hung Anh answered us with simplicity but steadfastness: “As a Border Guard officer, I am always proud to wear the green uniform of the mountains and forests, of the Fatherland's border. On this important holiday, when I pass through Ba Dinh Square with my comrades, I hope to fully demonstrate the image of a "green uniform" soldier with courage, discipline, and discipline, always ready to firmly protect the sovereignty of the territory and security of the national border. That is not only a personal honor but also a sacred responsibility before the Party, the people and the Fatherland”.
For the first time participating in the honor guard marching through Ba Dinh Square, Lieutenant Lo Van Tinh, born in 2002, from Thanh Hoa, Captain of the Mass Mobilization Team ( An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command) emotionally said: “I am a Thai ethnic, born and raised in the mountainous region of Thanh Hoa. In 2022, I joined the army, becoming one of the few local young people choosing the military path. The day I put on the Border Guard uniform, everyone in the village was happy, considering it a source of pride not only for me but also for the entire Thai community.”

Lieutenant Lo Van Tinh also expressed that when he received the order to participate in the parade practice and marching to serve the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, he considered it a great honor in his military career. Through the training days or the instructions of the management staff, teachers and the encouragement and trust of family and hometown people, young soldiers like Tinh have become more mature and steadfast, ready for the important ceremony of the country.
Behind the neat formations, fresh military appearance, strong and decisive movements are teachers who are always attentive, serious but full of emotions. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Quan, Deputy Head of the Department of Military Command, General Military Faculty, Army Officer School 1, training instructor of the Border Guard officers, shared before the "G" hour: "What impressed me most was the outstanding efforts of each comrade in the group. From the first days, when the steps were not yet even, the movements were not really standard, through each day of training, the comrades have made clear progress with high determination, discipline and solidarity. Seeing that maturity, I clearly felt the sense of responsibility, pride and readiness of the students before the important national holiday".

As someone who is “destined” to parades and marches, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Luan, Deputy Head of the Department of Military Command, General Military Faculty, Army Officer School 1, and instructor of the male Chemical Division soldiers, shared: “With the responsibility of a teacher, I always focus on training my students in will, belief and high determination throughout the training process as well as when entering official duties. Over the past four months, the whole group has focused on practicing with a high sense of responsibility, solidarity, unity and discipline. We believe that the Chemical Division soldiers will complete their tasks excellently, contributing to the overall success of the ceremony.”

It is known that for Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Luan, Ba Dinh Square is not only a place that marks history, but also a family memory passed down from previous generations. In 1975, his father participated in a parade in the Infantry. 35 years later, he himself was a member of the Army Officers, marching through the Square during the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi... and in just a few hours, he will return to Ba Dinh Square as a teacher...

When we asked what kept him committed to his job as a regulations teacher, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Luan smiled and replied: “Regulations may seem dry at first glance, but they are what train soldiers in discipline, solidarity and unity. And that is the most beautiful thing about the Vietnam People's Army!”

“Solidarity - discipline - unity” is the common denominator of the marching and marching groups. In the first days of training, the steps and movements were not yet even, sometimes even unsteady. However, after months of arduous training, sweat soaked the back of the shirt, each row, each individual became steady, with firm steps. The eyes of the soldiers before the “G” hour now shone with faith and spirit, ready for the glorious moment of marching on the historic Ba Dinh Square, to join the arms of the people.
