After the work accident, the positive slope construction site has been supplemented with a support system; anchors have been drilled and ropes have been dropped so that workers have a place to hold on to work more safely and conveniently. At the beginning of the working day, the labor safety department always reminds and thoroughly explains the construction measures, and strengthens the safety belts for workers working at height. At the same time, the unit always reminds and notes that workers absolutely ensure labor safety conditions throughout the working process.

Immediately after the serious work accident occurred at the construction site of the North-South Expressway Project, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha issued a telegram requesting the relevant authorities to promptly overcome the consequences, stabilize the construction site, and promptly clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals. The Government also requested the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with ministries, branches, and localities to inspect, supervise, and ensure absolute safety during the construction of works and projects, and prevent similar incidents and accidents from occurring.

"We require units and contractors to strictly comply with the arrangement and ensure occupational safety conditions; resolutely not assign work to workers who do not comply with occupational safety regulations to avoid unfortunate accidents" - Mr. Lai emphasized.

Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Pham Van Lap said that the department has requested localities and units to organize comprehensive inspections and reviews of occupational safety management at construction sites in the area, especially key transport infrastructure projects. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to measures to ensure safety for people, machinery, equipment, and construction vehicles; pay special attention to construction items in mountainous terrain, high slopes, areas with potential risks of landslides and collapses; and resolutely stop construction immediately upon detecting risks that cause unsafety.
