Ding Yuanzhao (39 years old) was nicknamed "The most educated person in the Chinese food delivery industry" by netizens.

Accordingly, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University and a master's degree in Energy and Resources from Peking University. These are two of China's top universities.

In the video sharing about himself, he also showed off his scholarship certificate from Tsinghua University and said that he had scored nearly 700/750 points in the university entrance exam in 2004.

In addition, Ding also holds a PhD in Biology from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), and a Master's degree in Biodiversity from Oxford University (UK). He is also a post-doctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore.

With such an impressive degree, Ding should have landed a position at a research institute or teaching job. However, in March 2024, his research contract at the National University of Singapore expired and was not renewed.

Ding Yuanzhao decided to apply for a job, but after several failed interviews and no response to his application, he became unemployed and chose delivery work to make a living.

Every day, he works from 11 to 12 hours, earning between 250 and 500 yuan (about 900,000 and 1,700,000 VND). It is known that the delivery profession in China has a pretty good income, Ding even earned up to 1,400 yuan (about 5 million VND) a day.

News of Ding quickly spread, creating mixed opinions. Some criticized him for wastingeducational resources, while others questioned the true value of education.

In response, Ding affirmed: "Delivery is a legitimate job, helping me support myself properly. To me, all jobs are the same."

However, some people discovered that Ding's account was an "education blogger", and the video was posted right at the time of the college admissions, raising suspicions that he was trying to attract views.

Some others think he is using the contrast between his education and current career to attract attention, or maybe this is his way of paving the way for future plans.
