Currently, in Nui Thanh commune, there are 114 industrial production projects with a total investment of more than 40,000 billion VND (including 1,090 industrial production and business establishments, creating jobs for more than 30,000 workers). Particularly, the commune's industrial clusters (ICs) have 16 projects in operation with a total capital of nearly 282 billion VND, creating jobs for about 1,300 workers.

Mr. Hoang Chau Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh commune, said that in the coming time, the locality will focus on developing industry to become the key economic sector, accounting for the largest proportion in the economy.
The focus of industrial development is to concentrate on developing the Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Manufacturing Complex into a large-scale, multi-industry ecosystem. Including: automobile manufacturing, mechanics, supporting industries, logistics, aiming to form a national multi-purpose mechanical and automobile center, creating a driving force for the entire Central Key Economic Region.
“Developing a logistics center is of strategic significance to maximize the geo-economic advantages of Nui Thanh. Chu Lai seaport is planned to become a national seaport; Cua Lo waterway is cleared for 50,000-ton ships combined with Dung Quat Economic Zone (Quang Ngai) to develop international and domestic maritime transport services for the Central Highlands, Laos, Cambodia as well as serving two-way convection transport to support industrial activities,” said Mr. Son.
Regarding industrial activities in industrial parks, Mr. Van Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nui Thanh commune, said that the target by 2030 is to have an occupancy rate of 90%; attract 1,000 or more workers to work in this area. Nui Thanh prioritizes industries and occupations that attract a lot of workers and are environmentally friendly.
The locality continues to expand and complete the infrastructure of Nam Chu Lai Industrial Park and Trang Ton Industrial Park to attract investment in the fields of construction materials production, processing, preservation of agricultural products and food, transit of goods, warehouses, mechanics, electronics, refrigeration, ensuring industrial growth rate.
According to Mr. Hoang Chau Son, to create momentum for the key industrial zone, Nui Thanh commune creates a favorable investment environment, focusing on clean land, reforming administrative procedures, and supporting investors in project implementation.
The locality focuses on organizing and implementing the overall program of state administrative reform, prioritizing the simplification of administrative procedures, connecting with sectors of Da Nang city and the Central Government to introduce and attract investment as well as promptly remove obstacles for investors and businesses.
