Sancho rejected Chelsea

Jadon Sancho turned down a huge contract offer from Chelsea ahead of a return to Old Trafford this summer.

Sancho is said to have rejected Chelsea.

According to Goal , Chelsea are willing to offer Sancho a salary of between £180,000 and £200,000 a week, equivalent to the income they will pay during his loan period at Stamford Bridge in the 2024/25 season. However, Sancho rejected this offer.

After being rejected, Chelsea had to pay MU a fee of 5 million pounds to not sign a contract with Sancho. Previously, the "Red Devils" expected the deal to be completed with an agreed fee of around 25 million pounds.

During his loan spell, Sancho established himself in Enzo Maresca's side, beating competition from Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk, and started 41 games in all competitions for Chelsea.

Sancho's rejection of Chelsea's offer puts MU in a difficult position. The Old Trafford club has not been able to find a new destination for Sancho as coach Ruben Amorim has removed the English player from his plans for the 2025/26 season.

It has been reported that Sancho could move to Juventus for a fee of £25m. However, the deal is on hold, as Sancho is demanding a £5m compensation payment from United. Sancho currently has one year left on his contract with United.

Sancho is one of the biggest disappointments of the post-Sir Alex era for MU. Selling him will help the team recover some of their investment capital, while also freeing up a significant wage bill, paving the way for new contracts this summer.
