And on the journey out of that dark night, Tham was not alone, she still had her family - her father and mother by her side to comfort her, despite the difficult circumstances, they embraced, protected, and believed in her. It was that acceptance, love, and absolute trust that became the first ray of light, piercing through the darkness, nurturing a small flame in Tham's heart. The darkness may come, but surely the dawn will soon break...

Fire - a burning will in the heart, a fierce desire

Difficulties quickly came to Tham when she started going to school. Having no arms and a body with many illnesses caused her to encounter many problems in life. It can be said that Tham's school childhood was a series of days of struggling with a pen. She held the pen between her left toes, diligently practicing writing. Her young toes were blistered and painful, but the fire of desire to learn in Tham never went out. The image of a little girl lying on her stomach, diligently writing each stroke with her feet is deeply engraved in the minds of those who have known the extraordinary willpower of that girl.

At the age of 6, when her peers were still playing and enjoying their childhood, Tham was able to confidently enter the village school. She could write fluently, read the alphabet and numbers. It was not a miracle, it was the result of constant hard work. Every effort Tham made truly became a victory, giving her the strength to face her cruel fate.

Throughout 12 years of high school, Tham was always an excellent student, ranked at the top of her class. Despite the difficulties in taking notes and participating in physical activities, she still tried many times harder than her friends so as not to be left behind. Every page of the book, every lesson was studied by Tham with all her will and extraordinary effort. "In my childhood memories and until now, I always remember teacher Nguyen Ngoc Ky. He is an example that gives me the courage to strive to study. Like my teacher, I do not have two arms so I have to practice writing with my feet. While practicing writing, even though my feet are peeling and bleeding, I still do not give up my dream of going to school," Tham shared.
