Cristiano Ronaldo is playing a key role in shaping Al Nassr's transfer strategy.

According to Sky Sports , Ronaldo has asked Al Nassr to abandon their plans to sign two Premier League stars, Liverpool's Luis Díaz and Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli. After signing a new contract with Al Nassr last month, Ronaldo wants to show his leadership role both on and off the pitch, and actively participate in the club's transfer plans.

Previously, Gulf Times revealed that in the new contract until 2027, Ronaldo requested the right to intervene in the transfer at Al Nassr. This request was later approved by the Saudi Arabian owners. Immediately, CR7 showed his influence this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo , Al Nassr made an €85m (£73m) bid for Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, but Ronaldo later advised the club to focus on Rodrygo.

This move shows Ronaldo's great influence in shaping Al Nassr's transfer strategy for the next season. Immediately after Ronaldo signed a contract extension, Al Nassr parted ways with Jhon Duran, even though the former Aston Villa striker had only joined the club for 6 months.

According to rumors, CR7 is not satisfied with the performance of the Colombian striker. At the beginning of the year, Duran joined Al Nassr for 65 million pounds, earning 320,000 pounds/week and had an impressive start with 4 goals in 3 matches. However, over time, the South American striker's performance declined and he could not find a place next to Ronaldo.

This has led to Duran returning to Europe to join Fenerbahce on loan. In addition, Sadio Mane may also leave Al Nassr in the near future.

Mbappe's masterpiece on the day Real defeated Dortmund. In the early morning of July 6, Real Madrid won 3-2 against Dortmund in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
