According to Pcmag , Google Calendar is now available on Apple Watch. Users can download it starting July 1 if they are using a compatible device. This is only the fourth Google feature to appear on Apple Watch, although most of the company's other services are already available on platforms such as iPhone, iPad and Mac.
The Calendar app was quietly released by both Apple and Google with the 25.24.1 update. Google has kept the app simple on the Apple Watch, similar to how it works on Wear OS. For example, you can't edit or add new events directly from the watch. Instead, the app opens on your iPhone for you to make changes.
The app update brings two new widgets to the Apple Watch face. “Today's date” is a circle that shows the abbreviated day of the week and the date. Meanwhile, “What's next” can be displayed as a circle, rectangle, or a Smart Stack widget that shows your next appointment.

Google hasn't launched a new service on the Apple Watch in over five years. Google Maps was the first, arriving in 2015. The app was removed in 2017, and returned in September 2020. Two other services, Google Keep and YouTube Music, arrived on the Apple Watch in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
Services like Gmail, Google Home, Google Photos, and Google Fit are all available on iPhone and work well on Wear OS, and the fact that the Calendar app on Apple Watch looks and functions similarly to its Wear OS counterpart suggests that the transition wasn't too complicated for Google.
Pcmag predicts that this move shows that Apple will bring more utilities to the smartwatch product. “We can expect other popular apps, especially Gmail and Google Fit, which are very suitable for the wearable experience, to appear on the Apple Watch in the near future,” the news site wrote.
