This year, Cau Bong festival took place with traditional sacrificial rituals and a number of activities honoring Tra Que vegetable growing profession and receiving the Best Tourist Village Award from the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).

Within the framework of the festival, spiritual rituals are prepared and performed by village elders according to the village's ancient customs.

According to the People's Committee of Cam Ha commune, from erecting the pole on the 24th of December (January 23), welcoming the gods to the altar and making offerings on the 6th of January (February 3), organizing the offering and making offerings to the God of Agriculture on the 7th of January (February 4); to writing the sacrificial text, choosing the main worshiper, the left and right worshipers, the celebration team, the reader, the sacrificial singer... all were carefully and solemnly prepared.

At the Cau Bong festival in Tra Que village this year, villagers prepare offerings and participate in exciting folk activities during the festival such as: Bai Choi folk game festival, lion and dragon performances, hoeing and planting cabbage contest, culinary contest...

On this occasion, the Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee awarded the best tourist village logo of 2024 honored by UN Tourism to the representative of Tra Que vegetable village.

The leaders of Hoi An City People's Committee affirmed that the locality will continue to organize activities to inform and introduce Tra Que vegetable village - the best tourist village in 2024 from the United Nations Tourism Organization to the people and tourists.

At the same time, promote the value and influence of an award belonging to the community; create motivation for the community and villagers to continue to preserve and promote indigenous cultural values, improve livelihoods, and enhance local social life.

Cau Bong Festival is held annually in Tra Que village, and has now been upgraded to a city-level event of Hoi An.

This is an occasion to express the respect of people who live on nature and to pay tribute to the merits of their ancestors; at the same time, it expresses the dreams and aspirations for a full and good life based on the efforts, creativity and hard work of the residents in this land.
