Every time the name of contestant Tran Ngoc Chau Anh, contestant number 220 from Hanoi was announced by MC Duc Bao or Phi Linh to win tickets to the top 15, 10, 5, and then the top 3, she received applause and cheers from the 6,000-seat grandstand by the poetic Huong River.
The most suspenseful moment was when the MC was about to name the top 3. As expected, the first female soldier of the Vietnam People's Army to win the 1st Runner-up crown of Miss Vietnam announced the name of Lieutenant Tran Ngoc Chau Anh.

Especially impressive to the audience enjoying the final round of Miss Vietnam 2024, especially the majority of Hue people, when the female soldier confidently answered excellent behavioral questions about the history and culture of the ancient capital of Hue.
When asked about how Hue city wants to tell its story to the whole country and the world through upgrading the venue for national cultural events such as Miss Vietnam, Lieutenant Tran Ngoc Chau Anh confidently answered: “Hue is a land of talented people, an ancient capital, elite, with many thousand-year-old cultural traditions. But what I admire most is that Hue has always persevered and persistently shined its heritage through festivals, through cultural promotion activities. And this year is the first time Miss Vietnam has connected with Hue to continue to shine this heritage. And today, I would like to say: “Yes, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mountain on the banks of the Huong River”. Continuing this feeling: “Welcoming visitors from all over the world/ Nourishing the heart, reuniting and meeting here”.
Tran Ngoc Chau Anh, candidate number 220, born in 2003, from Hanoi. She is 1.7m tall, weighs 51kg, and has measurements of 86-60-90cm. Chau Anh is the only soldier in the final round. Currently, the 1st Runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2024 holds the rank of Second Lieutenant, working at the Faculty of Music, University of Military Culture and Arts. In addition, she also majors in Piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Sharing the idea, designer Ha Duy said: "I chose a white and pink evening gown design for Chau Anh on the important competition night, a delicate color-changing dress, meticulously embellished to highlight her elegance while still maintaining her gentleness and elegance. The design was inspired by the pink lotus - a flower symbolizing nobility and purity, rising from the mud to show off its brilliant colors in life. |
