This is the first time 17 National Treasures from public museums and private collectors in Ho Chi Minh City have been displayed, creating a comprehensive picture of Vietnamese history and culture from prehistoric to modern times. The exhibition is not only an important cultural event but also a bridge between the past, present and future, helping the public better understand the value of national cultural heritage.

As of 2025, Vietnam has 327 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized by the Prime Minister as National Treasures. Of which, Ho Chi Minh City has 17 National Treasures currently kept at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History (12 treasures), Ho Chi Minh City Museum, Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts and private collector Pham Gia Chi Bao.

The newly recognized artifact is a ceramic pot, belonging to the Dong Son culture, dating back about 2,500-2,000 years ago, currently in the private collection of Pham Gia Chi Bao. The ceramic pot was found in Dong Tien commune, Dong Son ( Thanh Hoa ) in the Ma river basin. Up to now, this is the 7th pot belonging to the Dong Son culture that archaeologists have discovered in Vietnam. However, this is the most intact, largest ceramic pot artifact with a balanced, sturdy, and harmonious shape. In terms of aesthetics, the outside of the pot is decorated with a combination of beaten rope and smooth sanding. This decoration style, in addition to making the product beautiful, also supports the shaping technique so that the product is strong, sturdy, and resistant to force, less prone to cracking when fired, and retains heat evenly when used.

This is an original, unique, and special-valued artifact, a typical invention or creation, of high practical value, with the effect of promoting social and human development in the historical period - the Vietnamese Metal Age - the time when the Hung Kings built the country, the owner was the ancient Vietnamese.

In addition, on display are 12 National Treasure statues which are artifacts currently kept at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History, such as: Dong Duong Buddha statue (Champa culture) dating from the 8th-9th century; Devi Goddess statue (Champa culture) dating from the 10th century; Surya god statue (Oc Eo culture) dating from the 6th-7th century; Durga Goddess statue (Oc Eo culture) dating from the 7th-8th century; Sa Dec Buddha statue (Oc Eo culture) dating from the 4th century...

The exhibition also displays the seal “Luong Tai Hau chi an” dating from 1833; the printing block “Treasury bill with face value of 5 dong”, dating from 1947 - two National Treasures currently in the collection of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum. Two paintings “Spring Garden of Central, South and North” by artist Nguyen Gia Tri, made from 1969 to 1989 and “Thanh nien thanh dong” by artist Nguyen Sang, sketched in 1967, completed in 1978... are two National Treasures in the collection of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts.
