Attending the ceremony were comrades: Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee; Ta Van Long, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, construction units and a large number of local people.
The project belongs to the Dynamic Urban Development Project - Yen Bai City Sub-project, with a total investment of VND 1,423 billion, of which the World Bank loan is VND 887.94 billion. The new route is designed according to the urban road scale with a length of 4.2 km and a roadbed width of up to 50 m. The project also includes many other important items such as: Nam Cuong bridge, stream and bridge renovation, construction of 4 resettlement areas. The project started construction from March 2023 to June 2025. To complete the project, nearly 800 households carried out site clearance.
Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Yen Bai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) thanked the provincial and city leaders for their attention and direction; the departments, branches, and local authorities for their support in site clearance and construction organization; the World Bank for its technical support; and the consultants and contractors for their work with a high sense of responsibility.
The investor representative emphasized: "Today's project is not simply a newly completed road, but also the result of the consensus, responsibility, and high determination of the entire political system and the forces participating in the construction."
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province acknowledged and commended the efforts of the investor, construction units, departments, branches, especially households in the project area. At the same time, he requested the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, as the investor, together with construction contractors and supervision consultants, to continue to promote the highest sense of responsibility, focus maximum human resources, material resources and means to organize urgent and effective construction to complete the remaining items of the project according to the committed plan.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province requested that during the completion process, special priority should be given to items related to traffic safety, drainage system, lighting, trees, and sidewalks to ensure synchronization and convenience in operation.
Emphasizing the significance of the project, comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh affirmed: The project being technically opened to traffic today is a bold, meaningful mark, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee - a glorious and enduring journey of will, intelligence, revolutionary mettle and the unceasing aspiration to rise of generations of cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province.
He called on all cadres, party members and people to continue to unite, innovate their thinking and take drastic actions "so that each project today becomes a solid foundation, each new route becomes a driving force for development, each inch of expanded land becomes a new development space for civilized urban areas, for rich and beautiful countryside, for the harmonious and sustainable development of the whole region".
