Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Yen So Ward People's Committee Tran Thanh Nga said: This year's program has special significance as it is organized in the context of the new Yen So ward being established from July 1, on the basis of the administrative boundaries of the old Yen So ward, the old Hoang Liet ward and Tu Hiep commune.

Although it is a new administrative unit, Yen So ward today is a full inheritor of the revolutionary tradition, responsibility and affection of its predecessor localities - a place that always pays deep attention to war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
“With a sense of responsibility, careful preparation and deep gratitude, today's program will contribute to spreading humanistic values, arousing national pride and motivating policy families to continue living well, living healthily and living usefully,” emphasized comrade Tran Thanh Nga.
At the program, more than 80 people including Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, people participating in resistance activities infected with toxic chemicals, veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres, Heroes of the Armed Forces, and policy beneficiaries with especially difficult circumstances were examined, consulted, given medicine and given gifts.

The medical examination process is scientifically arranged, ensuring convenience for participants with a reception area and thoughtful guidance, performed by a team of doctors and medical staff from the Military Institute of Radiation Medicine and Oncology.
In addition to medical examination and medication appropriate to their health condition, policy beneficiaries are also provided with health care knowledge and gifts. The ward has also arranged transportation support vehicles, especially for the elderly who have difficulty moving.

Mr. Bui Van Phung (born in 1949, 1/4 class disabled veteran) moved by wheelchair to the Ward Health Station and shared: “Right from the gate, the staff and volunteers welcomed and guided us very enthusiastically. All obstacles in movement were carefully supported. This activity is truly remarkable, especially during the meaningful days of July”.
Chairman of Yen So Ward People's Committee Vu Tuan Dat said: "The program is organized closely, enthusiastically, ensuring absolute safety, demonstrating the spirit of thoughtful service and deep sense of gratitude. We hope that the activity will not only take care of health but also propagate and educate revolutionary traditions, enhance the sense of responsibility of cadres and people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to building a strong local political base and strengthening solidarity between the army and people".
