Rach Dua Ward (HCMC) changes neighborhood name, creating convenience in management and transactions

On the afternoon of July 15, the People's Council of Rach Dua ward, term III, 2021 - 2026, held the 2nd session (special session).

The meeting chair conducts the discussion of the contents of the resolutions.

At the meeting, the People's Council of Rach Dua Ward discussed and passed many important resolutions, including a resolution on changing the names of 25 neighborhoods in the ward. The neighborhoods are named in order to avoid duplication and to help the ward facilitate state management.

Specifically, Rach Dua Ward will keep the names of 12 neighborhoods in Thang Nhat Ward (old); rename 9 neighborhoods in Rach Dua Ward (old) and 4 neighborhoods in Ward 10 (old) in consecutive numbers from 1-25.

Previously, Rach Dua Ward People's Committee organized a poll to collect opinions from voters representing households about changing the name of the neighborhood, with 20,532 voters agreeing (95.5%).

Next, the People's Council of Rach Dua Ward discussed and approved the monitoring program for the last 6 months of 2025. The monitoring content focused on the implementation of the tasks of economic , social, national defense and security development in 2025; conditions for organizing schools in the area; hotspots of urban order, environment, construction and encroachment on public land; work to ensure food hygiene and safety.
