Long Bien Ward puts up street name signs and public works to celebrate National Day September 2

HNP - On the morning of August 29, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien ward solemnly held a ceremony to attach street nameplates and public works to practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, and at the same time welcome the success of the first Congress of Long Bien ward delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

At the ceremony, comrade Duong Kieu Ngoc Loan - Head of the Ward's Department of Culture and Society solemnly announced the Decision of the Hanoi People's Committee on naming 01 new street and 03 public works in Long Bien Ward. Specifically, 04 locations with signs include:

Duong Ba Trac Street: the section from the intersection of Cu Khoi Street to the intersection of Hoa Dong Street and Lang Thanh Hoang of Tho Khoi Village, 500m long, 13.5m wide. This is the street named after the patriot, cultural and educational activist Duong Ba Trac (1884 - 1944), who participated in the founding of Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc, taught, compiled books and devoted his whole life to the movement to reform the country.

Long Bien ward leaders presented flowers to congratulate the family of patriot Duong Ba Trac and took souvenir photos.

Cu Khoi Flower Garden: area of ​​1.1 hectares, put into use from 2022, is a landscape highlight and community living space for the people.

Nghe Ngo Flower Garden: area of ​​1.2 hectares, associated with Nghe Ngo relic - a national relic. The project was completed on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the former Long Bien district.

Thach Ban Flower Garden: area of ​​4.3 hectares, completed in 2010 on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, is an important cultural, sports and community space for local people.

Comrade Pham Thi Bich Hang emphasized that honoring the name of patriot Duong Ba Trac - a patriotic intellectual, educator, and outstanding culturalist - with a street in Long Bien ward is a clear demonstration of the spirit of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", the deep gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people to previous generations.

The Vice Chairman of the Long Bien Ward People's Committee also requested that the departments, offices and functional units of the ward continue to maintain urban beautification in the direction of "Bright - green - clean - beautiful", increase propaganda so that people understand, are proud and conscious of preserving streets and public works named after famous people and historical places. In addition, the local education sector needs to integrate the study of street names and works into the local history program in schools, contributing to educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions and national culture.
