On July 23, at the meeting with voters of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province, including delegate Ho Duc Phoc - Deputy Prime Minister - voters of Quy Nhon ward proposed many notable issues related to the fight against counterfeit goods, textbooks, and development orientation after the merger.
Land use conversion fee is too high, can't pay
Voter Phan Thanh Hoang, Quy Nhon ward, expressed his opinion that the revised Land Law stipulates that fees for land use conversion are collected at market prices, but each province defines it differently and the valuation is also different.
According to voters, land prices on the market are inflated by real estate investors.
Meanwhile, agricultural land prices are low, when converting the purpose, people pay very high conversion fees, which cannot be met. Therefore, it is recommended that the authorities study and calculate reasonably.
In addition, many voters expressed their opinions that the existence of many sets of textbooks as present causes many difficulties and problems for parents and students, especially when they transfer schools. Therefore, it is recommended that the education sector find a solution to build a common set of textbooks nationwide.
Why not build a textbook series?

Responding to voters, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said he shared the same views with voters on the issue of textbooks.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that he had previously discussed with the Minister of Education and Training why we don't build one set of books but have to make many sets of books?
"When we were studying, the whole country had only one set of books. When the elder brother finished studying, he would pass it on to the younger brother to study. We have determined that universalizing high school means that the level of education in the mountains and the lowlands, the plains and the cities must be the same.
We are accepting voters' opinions today to forward to the Minister of Education and Training for research," said Mr. Phot.
According to him, regarding the issue of counterfeit goods, recently the Government has focused on directing a fierce fight against counterfeit and smuggled goods.
Therefore, many places have discovered many major violations and handled them strictly. In which, focusing on goods that directly affect people's health such as food, cosmetics, milk, and medicine.
"Fake medicine, fake functional foods, only the sick are real"
Voters also raised concerns about the proliferation of counterfeit goods on the market, affecting people's health and lives.
"Fake medicine, fake functional foods, only patients are real. Fake products and goods, only consumers are real. I request the Government and authorities to have a radical solution to deal with the problem of fake goods to regain people's trust" - voters expressed their opinions.
Change to a new, more sustainable growth model
Informing Gia Lai voters, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that after rearranging administrative units and organizing two-level local governments, the Government is orienting towards converting to a new growth model.
Accordingly, the growth model based on traditional factors such as capital, mineral resources, and land will be changed to a new growth model based on science and technology, innovation, digital economy, increased labor productivity, and sustainable growth.
