Tensions in the Middle East have cooled down and international stock markets have risen, positively impacting the domestic market.
On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, continuing yesterday's upward trend, right after opening, the market was green and reached its highest increase of nearly 13 points, up over 1,370 points at 11:15. By lunchtime, the VN-Index stopped at 1,369.68 points, up 11.5 points.
In the afternoon session, the market continued to stay green but the increase cooled down. Closing the session, VN-Index stopped at 1,366.77 points, up 8.59 points (0.63%); VN30-Index increased 14.48 points (1%), to 1,462.8 points.

Most of the pillar stocks increased in price. Of the 10 stocks with the largest capitalization, only 1 decreased in price and 1 remained unchanged, the rest increased.
The pair VHM and VIC continued to strongly support the market, but the support level was not as high as the previous day. VHM increased by 4.46%, contributing the most to the VN-Index with 3.26 points, VIC contributed nearly 2.8 points. These two codes alone contributed more than half of the market's increased points in today's session.
If yesterday the oil and gas stocks performed positively, in which GAS contributed significantly to the market, today, with the tension in the Middle East cooling down, the world oil price dropped sharply, the stocks of this industry fell sharply, up to 4.89%. GAS took away the most points with 1.8 points.
In this session, most sectors increased, in which insurance, securities, and real estate were the most positive sectors. On the contrary, in addition to the energy sector, the hardware sector decreased sharply by 6.52%.
Liquidity increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND25,000 billion. The bright spot was that foreign investors returned to net buying. This group bought nearly VND2,882 billion and sold more than VND2,651 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the total transaction value reached more than VND2,200 billion. At the end of the session, the HNX-Index stopped at 227.79 points, up 0.37 points (0.16%) while the HNX30-Index was at 470.29 points after falling 1 point (-0.21%).
