In the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter, there is a unique market that only takes place once a year. Antiques, used items, fake antiques... are displayed right in the middle of the street, attracting the attention of the capital's residents.

This special market is only held once a year at the intersection of Hang Ma - Hang Luoc - Hang Ruoi (Hanoi). The market is only held for ten days from the 20th to noon on the 30th of December, and the goods are displayed right in the middle of the street.

Most of the items sold at this special market are fake antiques and bronze items, but there are also antiques that are several decades old... very delicately crafted.

A bronze-plated wooden pipe crafted like the feudal era is sold for 500 - 700 thousand VND.

Discontinued banknotes are resold for 100-200 thousand VND/note.

A razor advertised by the seller as being made in the US from 1970-1972 is sold for 600,000 VND.

In addition, there are various types of worship items and home decorations such as bronze Buddha statues; three gods; bronze censer;... and familiar items such as teapots; antique lamps; incense burners; screens;... Among them, there are many valuable items worth tens of millions of dong.

The items displayed at the market are all many years old and nostalgic.

The people who come to the market are mainly those who are passionate about collecting old and antique items. The older the item, the more interested the customers are. However, only connoisseurs can distinguish between real and fake antiques.

This year, during the Lunar New Year, bronze dragon products are sold in abundance.

Mr. Hieu (Hoan Kiem district) shared: "I really like collecting antiques, especially ceramics. Every time Tet approaches, I come here to find an antique to add to my collection."
