The memorial site is a national historical site and one of the 12 typical tourist attractions in the Mekong Delta. After many years of exploitation, due to the impact of weather and environment, many items in the campus have been seriously degraded.

Workers proceed to raise the foundation of the backyard of the Memorial Area.

After the Department of Planning and Investment approved the technical economic report, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the contractor to implement upgrade items such as: raising the backyard foundation, installing a water pump system to prevent flooding, renovating collapsed areas, renovating the souvenir shop and the amateur music performance house... Despite the construction in rainy weather conditions, the units still made efforts to speed up the progress, ensure quality and strictly comply with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage to preserve the original value of the relic site.

Contractors focus on interior construction during the rain.

The project's funding source is drawn from the increased provincial budget revenue in 2023 and the budget balance reserve in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period.

Install manhole covers in the Memorial Area to ensure safety for visitors.

Upgrading the Memorial Area not only helps preserve national relics with unique cultural values, but also contributes to promoting the art of Don Ca Tai Tu - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, while creating a highlight to attract tourists to Ca Mau province.
