250 people were examined and given free medicine

(DN) - On the morning of July 12, the Southern Representative Board, Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Medicine Association (member of Vietnam Traditional Medicine Association) coordinated with Traditional Medicine Associations of Southern provinces to organize a program of medical examination and treatment, health care guidance and gift giving at Duc Bon A Lan Nha Pagoda, Nghia Trung Commune, Dong Nai Province.

At the program, the doctors and medical staff in the group examined and advised on self-health care, supported the treatment of musculoskeletal and joint diseases, distributed free medicine to 250 people and gave 125 gifts to poor households in the locality.

The program of medical examination, free medicine distribution and gift giving to the poor are regular activities organized by Venerable Thich Dong Tan, abbot of Duc Bon A Lan Nha pagoda, in coordination with related units, to support people in difficult circumstances and spread the spirit of volunteerism and the Buddhist philosophy of "living a good life, following the religion".
