(NLDO) - Local people discovered a woman's body missing her head and legs, drifting ashore in Quang Nam.
On February 10, the leader of the Criminal Police Department of Quang Nam Province Police said they were investigating the cause of death of a woman whose body was recently discovered in the area.
Identifying features on the victim's arm
Earlier, at around 8:40 a.m. the same day, Tam Quang Commune Police, Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province received a report from local residents about the discovery of part of a human body drifting ashore in An Hai Dong Village, Tam Quang Commune.
Through verification, the victim was identified as a female. The body only had the torso from the abdomen up, without the head or legs. The body's left wrist wore 4 silver bracelets; the ring finger of the left hand wore a silver ring with a flower-shaped face and a stone.
Through an autopsy, authorities determined that this was likely a murder case. Authorities are taking steps to identify the victim.
