US President-elect Donald Trump is expected to prioritize passing bills on border security, energy and tax cuts, as he prepares for the issue with Republicans in the Senate.
The US Senate will be controlled by Republicans in the upcoming term, and senators from this party are discussing specific plans to advance President-elect Donald Trump's policies, starting with border security and energy, before focusing on tax cuts.
Senator John Thune, the Republican leader in the next Senate term, outlined the plan in a closed-door meeting on December 3 (local time) in which Mr. Trump personally called.

In the next Senate term, Republicans hold 53 seats and Democrats hold 47. With a majority, Republicans are expected to have little trouble passing bills on Mr. Trump’s policies.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Thune said the first bill would focus on border security, defense spending and energy deregulation.
Mr. Trump is preparing for bills to be passed soon after he takes office.
The second bill would extend tax cuts from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed during Trump's first term, which were set to expire next year.
Mr Thune described the plan as “options that all of our members are considering”. To enact Mr Trump’s agenda, the Senate would have to work closely with the president-elect and the House, where Republicans are expected to hold a narrow majority.
Mr Trump's extension of tax cuts for individuals and small businesses is expected to add $4 trillion to the current US debt of $36 trillion over 10 years.
Mr. Trump also promised voters new tax cuts, including ending taxes on Social Security, overtime and tips, and restoring deductions for auto loan interest.
