On July 12, Ba Diem Commune Police, Ho Chi Minh City, were taking statements and consolidating records to handle a group of people who opposed the An Suong Traffic Police working group (under the Traffic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police) who were on duty to check alcohol concentration in the area.
According to initial information, at around 11 p.m. on July 11, a working group of the An Suong Traffic Police Team was patrolling and controlling on Song Hanh Street (section through Ba Diem Commune) when they discovered a man driving a motorbike with license plate 81T1-060.90, not wearing a helmet, carrying a woman.
The police signaled the man to stop for a breathalyzer test and found that he had violated the law, so they asked him to show his papers. However, he did not cooperate and went into a roadside seafood restaurant.
When the task force was preparing to take the violating vehicle away, suddenly a group of four people from the seafood restaurant came out to argue and prevent the authorities from doing their duty.
The situation became chaotic, some people in the group pushed and shoved the police officers, causing the area to become noisy, and people gathered to film.
Ba Diem Commune Police, Ho Chi Minh City were mobilized to support, control and invite four people to headquarters for questioning.
Ba Diem Commune Police are clarifying the behavior of each person in the group to handle according to the law./.
