(NLDO) - In the middle of the constellation Leo Minor, a red smiling face appeared from a region of space 465 million light years away from us.
NASA has just released an image of a "ghostly smile from space" captured by the James Webb Space Telescope ( developed and operated by NASA) .
What creates this smile-like image is Arp 107, a structure consisting of two merging galaxies.

In Arp 107, the larger spiral galaxy called Seyfert is about the same size as Earth's Milky Way galaxy, which is also a "monster" in the galactic world .
This galaxy is on the verge of merging with a much smaller elliptical galaxy.
During the merger, the two galactic cores became the shining "eyes" of a terrifying face from space, while a "star bridge" connecting the two galaxies looked like a devilish smile, wide from ear to ear, like the clowns in horror movies.
According to Live Science, this pair of merging galaxies was photographed last year by the Hubble Space Telescope.
However, to get a better look at the merger, NASA decided to take another look at Arp 107 using James Webb's infrared "eye".
Thus, the smiling face from space is covered in red, adding to the creepy look.
In addition to the bridge of stars pulled from both galaxies during their entanglement, James Webb data also revealed star-forming regions, dust, and a bright point of light in the Seyfert spiral galaxy, possibly powered by a monster black hole.
The merged image of this pair of galaxies is also a "window in time" to learn more about the Milky Way we inhabit.
The Milky Way is a formidable monster of the universe, having swallowed about 20 other galaxies to reach its enormous size today.
