It is known that immediately after receiving the news, the Command of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station sent a working group of 7 officers and soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Pham Tran Cao - Deputy Station Chief as team leader, to the scene of the fire to coordinate with local authorities and police forces to put out the fire, move belongings and overcome the consequences.

Speaking to reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Thai Binh - Head of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station said: The fire burned down the entire house, property, and household items including rice, corn, clothes, beds, blankets, etc. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The fire was promptly controlled, preventing it from spreading to neighboring areas; recovery work is being carried out urgently to help Mr. Ly Y Heng's family stabilize their lives soon.

The preliminary cause was determined to be a battery explosion while charging with solar energy.
