AI Talents from High School

The first National Artificial Intelligence Olympiad for high school students has found bright faces to award prizes.

The first National High School Artificial Intelligence Olympiad took place on June 1-2, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training , the Vietnam Association for Information Technology, the Institute for Innovation and Quality Assessment, and the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

The purpose of the competition is to promote the movement of learning, creative research, improve teamwork skills, and international integration of students in the field of artificial intelligence in high schools nationwide.

At the same time, contribute to discovering and encouraging young talents in the field of artificial intelligence in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, in which artificial intelligence is identified as one of the spearheads and breakthroughs.

The Organizing Committee hopes to continue to inspire young AI talents, soon train them into future experts, and at the same time inspire learning and creativity to the student community across the country.

The first National Artificial Intelligence Olympiad Finals for Students in 2025 gathered 98 excellent candidates from 28 high schools in 17 provinces/cities, 4 specialized high schools belonging to universities across the country.

The competition results, the championship belongs to Nguyen Phu Nhan, grade 11 student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang . He is also the only contestant whose essay achieved a perfect score of 100 points.

A representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that students with high achievements in the competition will be given priority in future admissions and recruitment.

Student Nguyen Phu Nhan and 9 other students with the highest achievements will be proposed to participate in the selection round of the Vietnamese team to attend the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad - IOAI 2025 in Beijing, China from August 2 to 9, 2025.
