According to the investigation by the Pakistani police , the miscreants used guns to kidnap Hamza Shaukat, 22, who is currently a student at UAF. In a similar incident at Shoaib Bilal market, the three suspects Tariq, Shahbaz and Shahid are said to have used guns to kidnap Razia Begum's 19-year-old daughter Asma.

Other victims were also kidnapped from different locations. For instance, Rizwan from Kot Omer Farooq, Nimra from Children’s Hospital on Jhang Road, Naila from Mansoorabad Market, Rukhsana Ilyas from Civil Lines District. In Nighaban Pura ward, Ehsan and his accomplices kidnapped Ayesha while she was on her way to buy groceries.

The rise in kidnappings of women and children is raising alarm bells about social security in Pakistan. According to statistics from the Sustainable Society Development Organization (SSDO), in the past four months, 5,551 women have been kidnapped in one of Pakistan’s most populous cities, Punjab, which means an average of two women are kidnapped every hour.

Violence against children is equally alarming, with sexual violence being the most common, with a total of 858 cases. That means nearly seven children are sexually abused in Pakistan every day. The most reported cases are in developed cities like Lahore and Fasalabad, with 74 and 82 cases respectively.

Furthermore, 613 children were also abducted during this short period, an average of 5 children per day. One-third of these cases originated from Lahore (210).
